When we arrived to our destination Little Rangitoto, I started practising to do an Ollie. I quite good for an starter. I had lots of fun!!
After a while we went back home to get shorts on since it was way to hot with long pants on a sunny day!!
Instead we went to the beach to have a swim. It was way to cold for us so we didn't swim instead we relaxes ourselves.
After 3 hours we went home and went to sleep. it was an exhausting day.

maths Beata Percentages
On Wednesday 13 of October 2020 My class TWP 5 wrote down the answers to our math work/percentages at ST Pius X School!
A percentage means per 100!
Did you know that Percentages includes fractions and more!
I have seen lots of percentages around shop like 50% off some foods of 75% Gluten free and much more!
How To Work Out Percentages? if you want to find out what 1/2 is in Percentages ,then you will times 1 to make a hundred and do the same to the top. Once you've got your answer get the top answer which would be 50 and put the percentage sign next to the 50 like this 50%. And there you have it.

Maori language week
On 7 of September Friday 2020 St Pius X School celebrated Maori Language week. We celebrate this day because in New Zealand there are a lot of Maori families in New Zealand and because it was a day to celebrate Maori since New Zealand is basically Maori.
First we got into groups on Monday and chose a dance and speech (pepeha),though I didn't get a speech for some reason but that was okay. We choose the poi dance. It seemed easy but it was not easy. (Until I learned)
On Friday in the morning, I had to wake up at 7:00 to get ready and leave to school at 7:30, so I could teach my group how to do the dance/Poi dance because my group had no clue how to do the dance, cause we had no poi's to dance with, until the last day. I felt like I was going to be late or that no one would turn up or people would make fun of me and not learn how to do the Poi dance! My heart was beating as fast as a Cheetah runs to hunt its food. AT the same time it was Brazilian independence.
finely I was ready and I went to the car to wait for my dad to start driving to school. When I Got to school I was the only kid there. When I got inside my classroom there were two kids. I completely forgot their names so I pretended to do work until my teacher Miss Nees Kairua told me to paint black stripes on a weird looking rolled up newspaper. I did horrible. I thought Miss was going to tell me to do it again properly but she didn't. She said well done even though it was really bad. I think she liked it even though it was all over the place.
After a while some of my classmates came to practice the dance and it turned out they were good. Well for a starter. I mean they could have been better at the first step, but I guess it was hard for them, and I get that, the first time my dad tried it hit him straight in the forehead!!!!! shh don't tell him he was a bit embarrassed, since he said he could do better than me! It also took me one whole night to learn the move.
Finely the bell rang for the school to start. Kids started to turn up and get ready for their own dances. Our teachers told us to send a link to our parents to watch our dances by a google meeting. I sent my mum and dad to go on please specially my mum cause she hasn't seen my Samoan dance. "Ahhhhh I completely forgot to tell them when to go on!!!!!!". Don't worry I send them the time very sneakily without the teacher knowing. I guess if she is reading right now then I'm doomed, well not really I guess I had to do that.
After all the parents got on we finely started. First Stella and another boy said a welcoming and said the pray in Brazil. Then My Brazilian dance came up. All the Maori groups came and did their dance and finely it was our turn! Man I was already sweating well not really but either way I was so scared my head nearly came off. As you know that's not true it's just an expression okay. okay any way back to what I was saying. so finely It was my groups turn. "wehoo ahh yes It's my turn oh ya oh ya"
After we did our dance we sat back down to watch the rest of the dances. Finely all the dances where done and we said thank you to everyone that watched!!! It was a big big big day, I needed a rest!!! Today was a great day and I hope you enjoyed reading this Recount. bye I need to go get a rest hope to see you again in one of my blogs BYE!!!!!
